The Good stuff that is still relevant from previous years meetings...

NB: Isn't it amazing how quickly eLearning knowledge and skills date!!
Deb's Literalisms..... we began our meeting with a visual stimulus to get people thinking! This time looking at common sayings, colloquialisms and phrases we often hear in the English language.

Feel free to download this powerpoint and use it with teachers or students. What a great way to introduce or reinforce the eccentricities of our language......get the students to make their own!
Deb's Visual Puns.....take any opportunity to get people thinking! Use it with teachers or students. What a great way to introduce compound words......get the students to make their own!

It's a great idea to use a photo slideshow or a quick thinking activity like the visual puns as a way of starting a lesson. Have it running as the students enter the classroom and launch straight into learning!
We also enjoyed some mini quiches at one of our meetings. Click here for the recipe!quiche.png
